The 5 major unit processes include chemical coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection. There are various chemicals added to the water as it enters the various waste water treatment processes.
Step One: Screening. Taking the water from the source (natural or industrial water) typically passing through a screen as it enters industrial water filtration systems. For water treatment plant it is very much important for analyzing the wastewater first.
Two: Coagulation is a chemical process in which the destabilization of non-settle-able particles takes place. Coagulation is often used to remove suspended solids in domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants. In the water treatment system, the next step after flocculation is coagulation.
Three: Flocculation is a process to transport the destabilized particles that will cause collisions. To separate the dissolved and suspended particles from the water coagulation.
Four: Filtration is a system or process to filter out particles and pollutants from water. Anything that removes any amount of particles, sediment, bacteria, and the chlorine taste can be called water filtration.
Five: In terms Disinfection The three chemicals most commonly used as primary disinfectants are chlorine, chlorine dioxide and ozone. Monochloramine, usually referred to as chloramine, is used as a residual disinfectant for distribution.
Passing all the above step; wastewater transform into reusable water. According to your need processing step may vary for reusing the wastewater and back to the environment.
